Egg Drop Challenge
THE RULES
The size of the egg should be JUMBO raw eggs
The eggs should be uncooked :-)
Scouts to get their own egg for the challenge
Judges must be able to check for cracked eggs
Dropping a live chicken is NOT permitted! You must make your own container
Cub Scouts have to get their own material for container and inside padding. Suggestions include Jello, cooked pasta, popcorn, crushed newspapers, plastic or Styrofoam peanuts - use your imagination (and some help from the internet)
The raw egg has to be sealed inside the packing
The largest container size allowed is 6” X 6” X 6”
Parachutes are okay as long as they stay within the dimensions above when they have been unfurled
Each package must be clearly marked with the Cub Scout’s name, and den number
All boxes will be inspected before the drop - to make sure the box is secure and ready for drop
Drop will be conducted by the Egg Drop staff
Boxes will be opened after drop to check if egg survived the drop (possibly multiple times) or if it is ready for the frying pan!
Decision of the egg drop judges is final
