Contest Rules
Cakes must be baked and decorated by the Cub Scout. An adult may assist as appropriate and should be present to help with the mixer and oven.
The Cub Scout should also be responsible for clean up!!
Note that the Akela helping the scout can be male or female.
Dowels (or other similar items) may be used for interior supports of the cake.
All other items on the cake MUST BE EDIBLE, including all decorations and anything visible on the cake (and the container if it is part of the cake design).
Cakes purchased will not be permitted to enter the contest.
Cake and icing mixes may be used.
People with food allergies should plan to only eat their own cake.
All cakes that comply with the contest rules will be judged and awards will be presented for the top cake in each rank (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos). Cakes will be judged on design originality and creativity. All scouts will receive a participation patch in recognition of their efforts and accomplishments.
